I like to cook, and for that I need a place where I can keep all my recipes. I'm currently using the app My Recipe Box. But it's closed source and full of ads. While the pro version is pretty cheap, I wanted to see if there were any open source apps for this.

Selfhosted apps will be nice. I'm fine with web access and no native app as well. If not selfhosted, I can also manage with open source apps with automatic backup of some sort.

The only feature that I really need is recipe scraping. Thanks for all your suggestions.

I use the paprika3 app, not self hosted though.

It does not (yet) have ads though.

Can second this. Been using it for many years. Access on computer, tablet and phone. Shared access. There is a web browser applet that lets you snag web site recipes accurately and quickly.

Oh I'd very much love something like this as well. Right now I'm just using a more and more unwieldy excel spreadsheet. The feature I'm missing most from it right now is being able to filter by specific ingredients.

I use Obsidian for recipes right now. It's not exactly made for recipes but it does let me search and sort in the way I like. Not sure if it counts as self-hosted (I'm new here) but the markdown files are stored on your computer or server.

I also use Obsidian for my personal and work notes so it made sense to add a new recipe vault.
