Can confirm the Debian one, I wear oversized blue light glasses and stare at my monitor with an amazed look at the ridiculous things I see on the internet every day

Community rules (click to expand)
1. Follow the site-wide rules
- Instance-wide TOS: https://legal.lemmy.world/tos/
- Lemmy code of conduct: https://join-lemmy.org/docs/code_of_conduct.html
2. Be civil
- Understand the difference between a joke and an insult.
- Do not harrass or attack members of the community for any reason.
- Leave remarks of "peasantry" to the PCMR community. If you dislike an OS/service/application, attack the thing you dislike, not the individuals who use it. Some people may not have a choice.
- Bigotry will not be tolerated.
- These rules are somewhat loosened when the subject is a public figure. Still, do not attack their person or incite harrassment.
3. Post Linux-related content
- Including Unix and BSD.
- Non-Linux content is acceptable as long as it makes a reference to Linux. For example, the poorly made mockery of
sudo
in Windows. - No porn. Even if you watch it on a Linux machine.
4. No recent reposts
- Everybody uses Arch btw, can't quit Vim, and wants to interject for a moment. You can stop now.

Important: never execute code or follow advice that you don't understand or can't verify, especially here. The word of the day is credibility. Oh shit, here I criticized the placement, now that you mention it I wear large blue light glasses too! They're on to us!
Uses old Fedora logo? Check. So small it can barely be read? Check. Using distros nobody ever heard of? Check. Must be from India.
Which distros has no one heard of? some of the are discontinued, so the meme is old (which probably explains the old Fedora logo). And its probably small because this was a preview image from another meme site instead of the full size image. But otherwise the only thing that stands out to me is that backtrack/kali is definitely NOT neo. kali is what you use when you THINK youre a hacker when youre 14. "Im 14 and my linux distro is edgy" vibes. It should have the Mint photo of the kid.
WTF is "Gnewsense"? Old? "Backtrack" is a precursor to Kali Linux that was out for a few years, and hasn't been around for over a decade?
gnewsense was one of those hardline GNU FSF type things. Its old and no longer around. This is a perfectly valid list for a meme from 10 years ago. The selection of distros isn't odd, using a meme from 10 years ago is odd.
That version of the Ubuntu logo was released April 29th, 2010, and Backtrack became Kali in 2012, so I think that gives us a pretty good idea when this meme was created. Probably somewhere between 2010-2012. It was a fun trip down memory lane. Maybe they will dig up more relics.
"Out for a few years" makes sense from the current perspective but think of it in terms of the users from that era. I used Backtrack when it was Backtrack, and the dragon logo will always invoke Backtrack to me, not Kali. It's just a really old meme.
I remember seeing a version of this meme where for all distros the "users" was in plural, except for gnewsense, where it was just "user", implying that Stallman is the only one who uses it XD
Where did you get my photo?
I have a tiny Gentoo instance, [email protected] if anyone wants to join!
I can confirm that I use Arch btw
What would a user of an Ubuntu derivative be?
Put Debian on the far right, put Backtrack where mint is, put Mint where Debian is. Fixed that for you.
what about endevouros and or manjaro ?
