Removing Player-to-Player Trading in December (www.rocketleague.com)

Player-to-Player Trading will be removed from Rocket League on December 5 at 4 p.m. PST.

We’re making this change to align with Epic’s overall approach to game cosmetics and item shop policies, where items aren’t tradable, transferrable, or sellable. This opens up future plans for some Rocket League vehicles to come to other Epic games over time, supporting cross-game ownership.

FAQ

Q: What do I do with my duplicate or unwanted items?

A: The Trade-In system for Core Items, Tournament Items, and Blueprints will allow players to continue trading in eligible duplicate or unwanted items to receive a random new item of higher rarity.

Q: What if I lent someone an item?

A: These actions are not supported by Psyonix and all trades are considered final. Our support team cannot help reverse trades.

Q: What about third-party trading websites or servers?

A: After December 5, there will be no way to trade items with any player or between accounts. Websites or servers advertising such services are fraudulent and have no connection to Psyonix or Epic Games.

Q: Will this undo any trades I’ve made in the past?

A: No, you will not lose any previously traded items when Player-to-Player Trading is removed on December 5.

No this fucking doesn't. If you want to put a vehicle or any model into a game, you won't be limited because trading is enabled in a completely different game. This is so weak for an excuse that it feels like a straight fuck you. They didn't even say a word about the WHY (like it wasn't obvious anyway).

I have purchased the pass a few seasons ago, and as long as I get back enough credits for the next pass from it, I will just use that. Once they increase the price so that you get back 50 credit less than the original price, I just won't buy the pass. Also, I won't give them a bloody penny. They can choke on a dead rat.

The writing is on the wall. Removing the number of players in the que to generic words for population to a timer that just gives an incorrect ETA was the canary in the mines. The game is dying and Epic is speeding up the process. It's a shame because this easily becomes my most player game since the lockdown. I just hope someone else makes a successor because I don't trust Epic or Psyonix anymore.

Also they could just make most items untradable which would still be scummy but would let the old items market still be a thing.

Well, I don't trade often, but this just makes me feel like I can't give away all the crap I get.

I'll stop playing December 5th.

After this you can't even get most of the crap that is in this game.

Also, at the moment you could get for example some black market items for 300 credits through trading, whereas they try to scam 2000 credits from you for these items in the item shop...

It would be cool if the player base decided to boycott the shop and rocket pass.

Even better would be if everyone set default cosmetics. Send them the message that if we can't have the cosmetics we want, we don't want them at all.
