How to save comment sorting and hide read post? (lemm.ee)

Is there a way to save comment sorting somewhere in the app? Right now I have to switch it everytime I open a new post.
I am aware of the setting within the user profile to hide read post. But everytime I try to toggle it and save it, it throws some LemmyAPIException. Is anyone else experiencing ?

Same thing happened to me with trying to change settings in the profile. I just went to the web version of my instance and did it through the settings there

In the apps general settings, for default sorting options.. Your account settings, for the option to show read posts, unchecked or toggle off, & remember to save..👍🏻

The general setting sort option only seem to effect the post sorting method and not the comment. Am I missing something?

For the "show read post", I am unchecking. But whenever I try to save, it throws an exception and nothing gets changed. I will try to set it from the web to see if that can work.
