EDIT: I developed a nasty headache about the time I stopped commenting “last night” (this morning to most of y’all) that persisted until after I went to bed. It was looking like it could turn into a migraine, and if I hadn’t taken some excedrine to knock it out early, it might have done so. Waking up “today,” no twitch. I’m not sure if that’s causation or correlation, but it’s certainly curious.
So. I’ve come to a couple conclusions. I need to not miss my multivitamin, burn my husband’s high-caffeine coffee even though I don’t really use it, pick up some tonic water, chug some pickle juice, and—most obviously—reach out to my doctor as planned. Not just the eye doc. The regular doc who handles my prescriptions. Almost everything else? Either not the problem or not likely to happen. (My sleep, diet, caffeine and water intake, etc, are fine.) Advice received. Thanks.

Yes, I need to see a doctor about it. It’s a recurring problem. That won’t help me right now, unfortunately, because A, it’s before 4 am here, and B, there’s usually a month or longer wait before I can get an appointment, and C, getting an appointment requires me to be able to get ahold of someone on the phone instead of get voicemail because no one is at the desk. Right now, I just need a temporary fix if anyone has one.
The problem is with the muscles between my eyelid and eyebrow, sometimes one eye, sometimes the other. It’s not a constant thing, but when it happens, the same muscles over the same eye will twitch like a tweaker with epilepsy. It’s to the point where light and vision is blocked in that eye for a fraction of a second, usually several times in a row.
Sometimes, pinching the spastic muscle calms it down, or ice, but this time nothing has helped, and I have got to get some work done.
