Instead of ripping along the dotted lines, try pulling it off, you will get a clean break 99% of the time, even with cheap brands.

It’s such a simple thing but it annoys me so much when paper towels rip in half.

Hello redditors, i have a few bulb lights outside the house to set there because its too hot inside during summer and at night they’re swarming with cochineal insects like thousands of them flying around the light, its really annoying and infuriating, is there anyway to deal with that, turning off the light isnt an option!

Maybe just interesting for a small amount of people 😅

As a student I used to work for a marketing agency and did several jobs. One was to hand out flyers, brochures etc. But most people refused to take one. As soon as I started to say "there you go" or "you're welcome" people started grabbing them because they thought they would get something worthy.

He gets grumpy when we take him to 2 or more places and often complains about going out of the house too much or too long. He also likes to sneak on his tablet or one of our parent’s phones and play on it… Then complains about having to do chores like his workbook and piano homework. Any advice or life hacks on these things?

are there any legit courier services that ship by sea, to the US, in morocco?

for instnace instead of having each merchant in marraksh for ceramics, tile etc ship me things via air DHL, could I pay someone to pick all the interesting wares up for me, put them in a crate, and ship them to me at a fraction of the price, by water?

I have to often make long trips spanning 12 hours with my car and as I am the only driver, I tend to suffer from severe back and neck fatigue. Please suggest any ergonomic seat supports or cushions that can help.

I am thinking about moving across the state to be closer to family. I would be taking a pay cut, but the cost of living is so much less (everything from housing, groceries, gas etc). So, I am having a hard time figuring out a realistic but comfortable budget— how much of a pay cut can I afford? Any suggestions or resources for figuring this out?

Those Irish Spring soap boxes are perfect for turning your little pieces of soap into a new bar. Just fill the box with the pieces and soak the whole thing then put the box out somewhere to dry. Then peel back the paper. New bar of soap.

Any hacks are great. But specifically for me, I’m carpooling with my fairly large immediate family in our van to go visit some extended family. The car ride is going to be about 9 hours and one of the passengers is 2.

EDIT: I developed a nasty headache about the time I stopped commenting “last night” (this morning to most of y’all) that persisted until after I went to bed. It was looking like it could turn into a migraine, and if I hadn’t taken some excedrine to knock it out early, it might have done so. Waking up “today,” no twitch. I’m not sure if that’s causation or correlation, but it’s certainly curious.

So. I’ve come to a couple conclusions. I need to not miss my multivitamin, burn my husband’s high-caffeine coffee even though I don’t really use it, pick up some tonic water, chug some pickle juice, and—most obviously—reach out to my doctor as planned. Not just the eye doc. The regular doc who handles my prescriptions. Almost everything else? Either not the problem or not likely to happen. (My sleep, diet, caffeine and water intake, etc, are fine.) Advice received. Thanks.

————————————

Yes, I need to see a doctor about it. It’s a recurring problem. That won’t help me right now, unfortunately, because A, it’s before 4 am here, and B, there’s usually a month or longer wait before I can get an appointment, and C, getting an appointment requires me to be able to get ahold of someone on the phone instead of get voicemail because no one is at the desk. Right now, I just need a temporary fix if anyone has one.

The problem is with the muscles between my eyelid and eyebrow, sometimes one eye, sometimes the other. It’s not a constant thing, but when it happens, the same muscles over the same eye will twitch like a tweaker with epilepsy. It’s to the point where light and vision is blocked in that eye for a fraction of a second, usually several times in a row.

Sometimes, pinching the spastic muscle calms it down, or ice, but this time nothing has helped, and I have got to get some work done.

My bathroom is very echoey, which makes all noises much louder. I’m trying to think of something to put on the wall that would cut down on the echo while still looking like ~decor~

A curtain on the wall would look a bit crazy. So would fabric, plus the moisture after a shower wouldn’t be good with fabric. Thoughts? Ideas?

So one of my daughters figured out today that kids with school email addresses get free Spotify accounts. With no commercials. We’re in NYC. Not sure if it works everywhere but it definitely works in NYC.
