It's ok to pretend this site is named after Motorhead's Lemmy right?

Looking for Group?
Only if you listen to them while playing next farming session.
It's even better when crafting: "if you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man, you win some, you lose some, it's all the same to me"
Thank you <3
Could you make a dark mode available for the site, please?
Hi, check out your user settings, there are a few themes there including a dark mode. It's all CSS based so if you find a cool custom theme online, or make one yourself, I can upload it so everyone can use it!
Ah, I found it. Thank you very much <3 The dark theme works well enough for me to start with. Thanks!
Now I would love some RES options to filter posts and the compact version of old.reddit, but that's too much for now.
Nice, thank you for creating this. I may be wrong, because I'm pretty new to this platform, but I noticed this instance isn't linked to other Lemmy instances, is that on purpose? Or is it in the process of being linked?
Hiya, I haven't explicitly linked this instance to any others yet, but if you have an instance you'd like us to link to, give them a shout out! I need to manually add them.
I'll add some of the larger well known instances here later tonight to make it easy for people already using one
hello, thanks for creating this instance, I think its not obvious to people from other instances that pathofexile is using a whitelist, so I made a list of popular instances (~1k users or so) that are not yet whitelisted:
lemmy.fmhy.ml
lemmy.dbzer0.com
lemmy.blahaj.zone
programming.dev
sopuli.xyz
lemmy.sdf.org
vlemmy.net
aussie.zone
feddit.uk
off course this does not include any instance with the bots issue.
undefined> UI So is r/pathofexile going to be gone for a while?
It'll be private for at least 48 hours, then the subreddit mods will discuss again based on what reddit and the coordinated blackout subreddits are going, and either stay private, go public but no new posts (read only), or open fully. It all depends on what reddit does and the rest of the striking subreddits
Hello. I really don't understand this new network yet. Fediverse? Lemmy?
Fediverse is the whole thing and Lemmy, Mastodon and all those others are part of it?
@[email protected] what do you mean with that it's not linked to other Lemmy instances?
I thought I could use the account I created here use on all the other things too?
Lemmy instances need to be "connected" to each other so that the users from other instances can interact. I read about it real quick yesterday, but it seems that it's not "magical". It seems some instances are not connected on purpose, so they are closed communities. Also the instance owner can choose to block some instance.
@[email protected] is correct, if you have any instances you'd like us to link up with, let me know and I'll add them!
Saw your comment on whitelisting Kbin before the sub went private, which is great to hear it's where I originally registered.
As a note for any users who may want to register on Kbin, it's having cloudflare issues with connecting to Lemmy servers though so Kbin users will have to wait until that's resolved or just register a new account.
It's an interesting setup. Each instance can act like their own version of reddit, and have their own communities or "subreddits" to divide up the instance, or each instance can act like their own subreddit to the greater lemmy community. Since it's possible to connect to other Lemmy instances, if the instance you belong to allows it, you can create an account here and then go to other instances to use their gaming community. It can also connect to non-Lemmy federated content like Kbin and Mastodon.
The weird part here is that there can be fracturing. There could be a PoE community on Kbin, there could be a PoE community within Lemmy.ml, or Lemmy.world, and there could be a dedicated PoE instance here made up of multiple PoE communities.
nice, thanks
