Hey everyone,

Do you have any recommendations for pocket throwers? I have a D1 and recently got a Sofirn IF19, but was wondering about some other pocket sized throwers.

I know of the GT Nano and what ever Thrunight's version is called. Any others?

I recently got the Wurkkos TS11, its a great little thrower, and beautiful in orange. The spot is just right, not too narrow, and a little bit of useful spill around it too. While the battery it comes with is OK, it is noticeably more powerful when I use it with the 18650 extension tube and a 2500mAh 18A capable battery. I might get a more powerful 18350 for it when I order batteries next time.

Do you happen to know the throw? I've heard this light mentioned around, seems like a good light to pick up

I just saw there is a 14500 TS12 now. So tiny! I'd love it if it had Anduril. Maybe they'll release a Pro someday, then I'll probably grab it.

Throw on the TS11 is about 600m according to the website if I remember correctly. I'd say that's possible with high drain batteries, with the included one it's less, maybe 500m?

That's really good throw for that size. I may have to pick it up!

Edit: Picked it up

I'm in love with my EDC light, the Nitcore P23i. 3000lm, 55000cd, great UI with instant access to strobe and turbo, glass cracker lense ring, and the build quality feels like you could run over it with a tank.

That sounds amazing

I think Chuele has a video on it. I might have to rewatch it.

Convoy S6 KW CSLNM1.TG. You can buy the pocket clip separately and get an 18350 tube if you want. It has a deeper reflector than the S2+.

This is very compact. How wide is the beam?

This s6 config is awesome value and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, especially running in 18350 mode.

Found this beamshot on the other site but I can also say from personal experience that theres a nicely defined hotspot for a tube light.

That looks very impressive. I keep forgetting Convoy has a buck driver. That honestly makes it one of the most usable pocket throwers.

If you only have a very small pocket, the Lumintop GTA is great. I love mine. It takes a single 14500, and is the sort of light that muggles are amazed by.

Huh, I've never seen this one before. It looks pretty neat. What do you like about it?

How about Mankerlight MC13 II with SBT90.2 ($110 USD) emitter or sft40 ($65)?

http://mankerlight.com/mankerlight-mc13-ii-90-2/

It’s a larger 18350 light that twists open to 18650. The TIR is similar to Thrunite Catapult v1 and possibly Wurkkos ts11.

.

A 21700 tube was also released as part of a bundle or here: https://www.killzoneflashlights.com/products/manker-21700-tube-for-mc13-ii-e14-iv.

I don’t have this light but it seems like OK value for the higher price (for very short bursts of throw, not sustained).

[–] DinDjarin 2 points 1 year ago

That looks really good. Like a shorter MC12 II. I know Manker makes some good lights. I hope to one day get that sweet MK38!

I also still like the older Thrunite catapult v1 which preceded Wurkkos’s ts11. It has reasonable output and good runtime for its size, but ts11 can be found for cheaper and has anduril and aux with a possibly slightly worse driver.
