I question just how many of us, if any, really would give Kotaku articles the time of day anymore, given what may be a reputation for over-the-top opinion pieces.

I had a similar line of thought. Man it’s been so long since I’ve even seen link to Kotaku that I wondered “hmm I wonder if they actually do journalism these days”. My guess is also no.
Very timely, Kotaku.
Bethesda blacklisted them from review copies after Kotaku posted various leaks in the past, like the setting of Fallout 4 before Bethesda had announced it.
DISLIKED Frustrating lack of player choice in narrative moments and repetitive interior spaces
If you add the shitty companions + companion mechanics on top you pretty much sum up my biggest issues with the game.
