Altho I like Bertrand's art (which I posted earlier), this piece is one of many by Moebius that helps me realise how much more natural of a wordless storyteller he was.

Certain things are obvious, such as the two people greeting each other, but I feel there's also a bunch of subtle, intuitive elements scattered all around that flesh out the scene and make one ponder, connecting the dots where they may.

The irony here is that Bertrand deliberately worked to tell a wordless story across 100 pages, achieving debatable results, while Giraud managed to do it almost effortlessly in a single image.
