There's so much to unpack in this

  • We got Dedf1sh, i.e. "Acht"
  • So many new mechanics (the numbers coming off enemies look interesting... maybe some kind of score? Or damage numbers?)
  • The bloody Pearl drone
  • Portal mixed with Rogue-like vibes, especially in the final shot of the trailer

So much to see, I need it in my life ASAP

I believe that's the intent, tbh. Also it translates to "Eight" in German, although that I'm not sure is purposeful on Nintendo of America's part.

What else have you noticed? I want to make a detailed post for Splatoon Unofficial but I need some help from the community

I really wish the trailer was more clear about what the gameplay loop was. It's not very clear, and we're left to speculate. It looks roguelite-ish, but that doesn't feel like something Nintendo would do. ~~Also, that would be too awesome, and I don't want to get my hopes up.~~

Whatever it is, it's probably awesome! All they said was that it's a singleplayer experience designed to be replayed over and over, and that sounds amazing!

Roguelite was my impression too, especially after they said we could replay it as many times as we want. Looks like we can choose how to enhance our character, so it may simply be replaying it while different builds, but here's hoping for a splatoon roguelite mode!

We saw the player choosing from three floors: Easy, medium, and hard. Each gave different buffs. Looks like a "Do I pick a harder floor in exchange for better rewards" thing. I love replayable singleplayer games so I'm pumped!

Fuck. Future me is going to have a hard time deciding which roguelite to play, this or Hades 2.
