I think it’s more likely they’ll use this tech to produce vehicles with physically smaller batteries that can get 400-500 miles of range.
I don’t think the majority of people are in search of something that can go 800 miles without stopping.

Imagine putting that tech into a work truck. One that's hauling around a load of compost all day.
Will definitely be huge improvement for range in commercial vehicles hauling heavy loads. Can k ly imagine the cost though.
Semi trucks are the only thing that comes to mind given that their work time is usually limited to 14 hours here in the US.
I can only imagine how much these solid state batteries will cost at first on these new vehicles. Hopefully after 5-10 years the cost comes down on them because the range sounds amazing.
Lol toyota says theyll make a 900 mile battery sometime around 2030. Whatever. This is all speculation
We don't believe in electric, just hybrid.
We don't believe in turbo engines.
We don't believe in electric, just hydrogen.
We don't believe in Li, just new magic batteries.
Toyota trying to jump to all kinds of desperate niches because they're inept at doing any working tech at a competitive level is kind of hilarious.
If I can't buy it, it doesn't exist.
