Thought I'd post this up here since I've not seen it mentioned. For those who want to explore the world of discworld, this is a great MUD.

Very friendly community when I hop on every few months, and with a lot of rich detail from the books.

I so want to give this a go but I've always been way too intimidated tbh. I've only grown up with the books for the last 30 years, maybe I'm not hardcore enough of a fan to keep up! 😱

I give it a try most summers, mostly just to explore the world (it's full of references to the books!).

You don't have to be hardcore, just open to enjoy what's there!

I've not played in long enough that my character has now been erased but I had some great times traversing the paths of the Sto Planes, the Circle Sea and up to Lancre stealing from travellers to train my thief skills.

Does it use Flash? I thought that had been stopped now as very insecure?

It's a MUD, so you can connect via a MUD client :

Otherwise, it uses a JavaScript client to play by default:

Neither appears to be flash (alas for those great days!)
