Let’s celebrate. If you like Harry Potter what’s one grypé you have with the series? Something you like about it and wish it was explored more?

There's different types of magic. The house elves, blood, curse, and more.

Where was Luna Lovegood going with hers? We get the Newt connection. But what's the mystery connection Luna has with abstract magic? Harry is drawn into learning different magics, but doesn't ever tumble down that rabbit hole that Luna appears to be opening for him.

I never thought about that. You’re right, though. Everyone just casts Luna’s magic aside, but to me, it’s magic in its purest form.

I think most grypes can be explored with fanfictions. I actually didn't have any big ones before I started reading fanfics. I remember hating the 2nd book. Idk why but just thought it was boring.

Gotta say the second book is probably not my favorite either, honestly.

I guess I'm unique in that I don't love the first book. It's just not compelling to me. Picks up after that though.

I’ve never heard anyone say they don’t like the first book. It’s my favorite.

I think it's because I watched the films first as a kid and had rewatched the first movie so many times. Since the first book and movie are very close I think it just wasn't exciting to me whereas later books have many more differences.

Oh. That makes sense. I watched the first movie so much I could recite every line before the characters did. 😂 I find myself watching the fourth movie first. I plan on doing a reread at some point.
