I don't have a huge collection of science fiction books, but I hope to some day. I think it would be awesome to have one of those massive wooden bookshelves built into the walls with a ladder completely filled with science fiction books I've read or plan to read. Perhaps some day.

I'd also really enjoy owning one of those models of the Swordfish from Cowboy Bebop. Which happens to be the icon for this community. So darn expensive though.

At any rate I'd love to see some bookshelves and collections. Even if your collection is just a handful of books on a floor.

I've been toying with the idea of a heavier wooden bookshelf complete with scrolling ladder and a little reading/resting pad on top. Like a bunk bed bookshelf.

I have a ways to go to be able to fill it due to moving a few times but on the other hand there's at least three regular sized full bookcases in public libraries thanks to me, which feels pretty good.

oh, the books are Sci-fi. Not the shelves.

You're doing fine so far. Actually, less is more given that you will probably move from place to place and need to take it with you.

I try so hard not to accumulate books, heavy library user, and have an e-reader (and like it) yet somehow

Sounds reasonable. I hope to not accumulate books to a point where it becomes unsightly. If it can't be displayed neatly then I'm not going to. I tend to read things digitally first and if I really like the book then I buy it. Some books I just have from the past already though.

An artist that goes by "Sylvain Sarrailh" on ArtStation. I saw this one and immediately loved it. It's not actually from anything. Just an original work of art.

I need a clearer pic cuz i want to read all the titles! I am seeing some asimov in there including foundation trilogy. I got a soft spot for golden age stuff. 😊

Not quite as clean as your setup, In fact kinda messy and basically just some boards and empty wine boxes stacked on top of each other but I like it that way. :p
