I am starting to poop. A little last night, a little more today. Then I took some milk of magnesia, and diarrhea poop came out. It's a start, and at least I don't have to worry about dying or severe health problems at the moment. I will continue to work on my regularity. I long for the simpler days of big, hot poops but am willing to endure for a healthier lifestyle.

The best way of explaining it is you have a traffic jam. Adding more cars is not going to make it move through faster, and with fibre it is going to bulk up the stool and make the constipation worse. The solution to constipation from most causes is to increase water and fat consumption to prevent the drying out and hardening of stool.
The way most laxatives work is by stopping the lower bowel from absorbing water, leading to softer, wetter, and looser stool. If you can achieve this by not having as much fibre to absorb this water then you will have similar effects.
Thanks for the advice. I will forgo the fiber tonight, and maybe take a spoon full of olive oil and lots of water.
