There's like a zillion options in this price range and the "best" sub-$50 USD iem changes constantly so it's a tough question to answer.
I've heard good things about the Truthear Hola. I've got the Hexa and really like them.

If sound isolation is key, etymotic er2se/xr on adorama, whenever it is discounted to 50. That is, if you are not from a place where they dont take orders.
If it is not that crucial, almost anything else is fine as well. Maybe find one that goes well with foam.
Truthears zero or truthears zero red (the red edition is $5 more taking it to $55). Both are great choices. If you haven't used IEMs before then they are a way safer bet than the etymotic er2s
Thanks for the recommendations
Bit late, but I have't seen a mention of the KZ x Crinacle IEMs. Those also sound great. Otherwise, the Moondrop Chu.
I eventually got the Truthear Hola as a trial run (and to avoid buyer’s remorse/disappointment). So far I’m comfortable with them. Way better than my Bluetooth headphones. Isolation is great, although in the beginning I struggled because I wasn’t wearing the IEMs properly.
In future, when my bugdet allows, I’d like to explore other IEMs
Thanks.
Fair enough! I've been wanting to tryout the Hola's as well
The Moondrop Chu 2 are, new, popular, likely quality performers based on their predecessor, and under $20.
