Ebikes, bicycles, scooters, longboards, unicycles: Whatever floats your goat, this is all things micromobility!

"Transportation using lightweight vehicles such as bicycles or scooters, especially electric ones that may be borrowed as part of a self-service rental program in which people rent vehicles for short-term use within a town or city.

micromobility is seen as a potential solution to moving people more efficiently around cities"

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

This seems like a way to die really fast, but I bet it would be super fun before that part.

I'm sure you'll have a lifetime worth of fun before then, though.

I see what you did there 🤣

That SOUNDS like fun as hell, but just because you can put in a million kW motor into something doesn't necessarily mean you should.

I fear that ebikes and escooters and similar vehicles are already getting more attention from the media than they deserve because of the fires, that when people start dying from overly powerful motors, it is going to bring about bans and regulations and certification and stuff like that.

Regulations and certification for (all) motorized vehicles are a good thing...not everything should be legal to taken to the street, there needs to be standards that are upheld especially for safety reasons

To some degree, sure. But when regulations get enacted when there is hysteria, like all the battery fires, they tend to go overboard, add needless costs and hurt more than they help.
