Calling this the "most well-known indie game of all time" is a hell of a stretch if you ask me.

Yup, but when the game launcued in 2004 it was true. These days it definitely isn't the most well known but back in 2004, cave story was considered a huge success for the indie game scene
Yep, I never heard about it before.
Great game, and from my knowledge the publisher screwed over the developer so its not like He’s getting less money for it being free on Epic
The original is free and imo is way better.
Care to elaborate pls, why is it better?
