Yup, I even PAID for Espn+ to try to watch the Avs play in the NHL and I’m blacked out from local market games. So I watch other teams on my paid service and I had to pirate my local team. Guess who doesn’t pay for espn+ anymore?
Blackouts are why pirating is do popular.
These companies are not struggling. They can go pound sand. Plus they run commercials even on PPV. They should take the boxing route. Just make it free to watch and load it up with ads.
The letter also noted that the "global sports industry is losing up to $28 billion in additional potential annual revenue" because of illegal streaming, as customers with access to livestreams are less likely to sign up for a paid service or subscription.
NFL recently switched their extremely expensive streaming offer to DAZN. I cancelled right after as I found the illegal streaming sites offer better product.
It's crazy jusy how bad the League Pass is. Can't watch half the stuff you want to on there, then obviously playoffs is just nonexistent
