Same for me when I'm cycling. Drivers need to learn to take "be predictable, not polite" to heart.

I feel this at my core. It's the worst when at the speed they were driving they could have gone and everyone would be perfectly fine, intentions fully understood, but instead they abruptly stop

Same here. These people take a perfectly normal situation and make it less predictable. What about the traffic behind them? Will somebody just pass them and kill me on the other lane? Will they really stop in the first place? What about my grandma and her wheelchair bound friend? Can they go to? Just move along and let me decide when it's fine for me to cross the road.
