Lemmy will be like what LibreOffice was to OpenOffice. I can feel it.
Hell yeah! I's what Reddit was to Digg. Oh wait.
All bots. Or at least like 90%. It doesn't add up.
While I do think actual users is making good progress, I really hope most of those users aren't bots.
That uptick in users the past week is crazy.
TBH - I don't understand how people use Lemmy. It auto-updates and scrolls every few seconds if I try to look at anything that isn't a stale feed from 3 days ago. I know it'll get better but you have to REALLY want to be there to stick it out which will turn off many new users.
Maybe adding some Cloudflare service or similar would benefit Lemmy. I think Kbin has it but that is moot as long as other instances don't.
