Both the R1T all-electric pickup and the R1S SUV will be fitted with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector starting in 2025, eliminating the need for an adaptor.

At this point the only CCS1 holdouts who are selling nontrivial numbers of cars are the Germans, the Koreans, and Lucid.

Notably, these brands are home to all of the high voltage cars on the market. I suspect that Tesla will need to publicly commit to upgrading all V3 superchargers to 1000V before we see additional movement.

Agreed. It can’t be just the new v4 chargers going forward that can handle those cars. I think the Korean brands would commit pretty quickly at that point which would then pretty much force the German bands to follow suit.

I’m glad the chips are falling in favor of 1 plug in North America. The sooner this happens the better in my opinion. It is going to force other EV Charging operators to up their reliability as when drivers have options they will choose the stops that are the most reliable.
