Welcome to our virtual third place, The Café.

Come on in and make a new human connection over a cup of coffee (or Teh Tarik). This is a casual community, do whatever you want, share your oyen pics, your frustrations, and even organize a weekend picnic with the community. The world is your oyster.

Rules are simple, be kind and civil with each other. As with any other café, rude patrons will be kicked out.

Japanese: obsesses over capybaras
Malaysians: obsesses over an oyen friending capybaras

Only in Malaysia can an oyen override the obsession with capys 😚🐱

idk why people like that rat so much, it's literally the most NPC animal in the animal kingdom.

I think they’re feral versions of domesticated ones the indigenous Americans had before the small pox plague happened. They’re like rodent-cows, so it makes sense to me. After most of the natives died, a bunch of the capys just went back to being feral, but then people came back pretty quickly & started hunting them again. Well, now we’re back to keeping them, and sometimes eating them. I’m guessing the chillness is something that was bred into them, and we do tend to like chill animals.
