Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

“However, since its establishment in the country, the laws governing the BPO industry have not adequately adapted to meet its increasing demands, leading to various challenges. As a result, BPO employees find themselves at the mercy of a results-oriented industry.” Lapid said.

“This situation exposes them to high levels of stress due to heavy workloads and stringent performance standards. They also face insufficient breaks and sudden changes in shift schedules. In an intensely competitive work environment, the health and safety of BPO employees have been compromised due to unrealistic expectations,” he added.

BPO companies will still only care about their bottom line. Fuck the overworked and undercompensated employees amirite. They don't even provide nearly enough days off, mental health breaks, or shift break time for a job that more likely than not gets constant verbal abuse from dumbass customers in a different continent. Been there, done that, will not return to that type of shit ass work environment.

In a very related note, fuck AT&T and fuck Acticall Sitel.
