The episode, and most of this season has felt more like Tales of the Darkside, not Black Mirror. Definitely would prefer the sci fi dystopia stuff, but enjoy a good horror story.

It's happened. Black Mirror has become Inside Number 9. This could easily have been one of their straight classic horror finales. Black Mirror has never done supernatural or mythology before now and I feel like it's kind of a shame that they seem to have given up on technology horror now. As nice as it was seeing the Windows XP laptop and the ipod shuffle, this story could have been set at any other point in time with minimal changes.
This episode felt very lacklustre. It missed on the tech mark (barely anything tech related) and the horror element wasn’t fully committed to. Walking the line of tech and horror has not been working this season and Black Mirror needs to commit to one or the other.
What the fuck was this episode.
Yeah, tell me about it.
Well I was definitely surprised with where this episode went. It was like watching From Dusk Till Dawn for the first time with no idea what the movie was about.
Yeah when I was completely surprised when she Mazey turned into a werewolf.
I liked the episode ivin though it wasn't really black mirror-esque.
This season also seems to have quite a bit of retro vibe to it. Beyond the sea seems like an alternate history episode and mazey day took place back in the early/mid 2000s (I think). For me, so far (I've only watched three eps) this season is better than the last, but not the best season.
