Friendly reminder that Boeing lobbied the US DOJ to block Bombardier's sales of the C-series... which led to Bombardier spinning off all of its assets to foreign companies like Airbus and Alstom.

This is the US doing what it does best: stealing Canadian talent under the guise of "free trade"

Wasn't dairy subsidies a sticking point during the NAFTA renegotiation? Hasn't US claims of softwood lumber subsidy been an issue for years at this point? It sure seems like trade deals with the US are a one way street.

Our supply management is also bad, but at least the cost is born by people who use dairy products. I would argue that the US dairy subsidies are worse as everyone is paying for it whether they like it or not.

I'm sure that's the case. I don't recall the specific details of the conflict but I get the impression you know more about that than I.
