Judo
Yeah, I would love to see that happen and that's why I try to create some content here and start conversations :)
Just asking out of curiosity, how long did it take for you to get to 4 kyu?
Started judo in 2017, got 4th kyu in 2020 right before COVID popped off, had a kid in 2021 but this year I've been getting back to practice regularly so hoping to test for sankyu at the end of this year.
How about you?
I started judo in 2012 and got 4th kyu in 2014 but then I had like 5 or 6 year pause, but started again a year ago and I have now started to train more "seriously" and have went to two competitions.
Nice! I found shia to be worth its weight in gold.
Nidan. This is d_rome from /r/judo going back to my long time username.
nikyu, just need 2 more ippons in comp for promotion. But I'm getting my wrist fixed next month so delays.
shodan (hoping to go for my nidan in a month or so)
Shodan!
I'm also 4th kyu! Green belt in USJA.
Green? How do the belts go in there? Where I'm from 4th is orange. Possibly getting green (3th) belt in autumn :)
Shodan, just got promoted in December. Then I broke my leg in January and am still healing.
Hopefully it heals fast :)
Not fast enough, but it is healing
Nidan checking in. I believe I am eligible for sandan? Haven't checked xD
