Very interesting news! An excellent application of new technologies, much better than using robots and AI for war. Hopefully it will further speed up the development of the rail system.
Even if I'm slightly worried about the electric engineers who used to do it before
I would guess this is done by a state-owned company (at worst, a contractor), so they'll hopefully be offered other jobs
Yeah, China has historically been pretty good with replacement jobs, for example former fishermen who now patrol the rivers after fishing was banned in the Changjiang river. Or I may be misremembering.
