Friend I think you need to take a wire brush to the bottom of the pan and reseason it

It’s been like that since I got it years ago. I’ve just been building a new seasoning over it.

Never had an issue. I make almost exclusively eggs in it and they never stick. So I’m good 🤷‍♂️

Check out “cast iron scrubber” at your preferred online retailer. I use mine after every cook and my pan always looks pristine. No need for soap, just a nice scrub and some water.

You might want to be more specific. When I googled “cast iron scrubber” a lot of different products came up.

The one Ive used for years looks like this! They also make them wrapped around a sponge material but those can get kinda nasty after a while.

Ah. I’ve always heard of them as chainmail scrubbers.
