Just bought a Dualsense gamepad to play NMS on my M1 Air... can I use it for anything else? (self.macgaming)

I'd love to be able to use the controller to browse the web, etc; usually I have my hand resting on my mouse on my desk, but i've been developing tendon issues and having my hands in my lap would reduce the strain in my fingers when I'm passively reading or researching.

I've tried adjusting the settings in Steam for "desktop layout", but moving the sticks and pressing buttons in chrome doesn't seem to do anything.

There are a few apps on the Mac App Store that let you map controller presses as keyboard keys.

Pressing the ps button opens the mac's launchpad on your end? It did that in mine, and I could select and run apps with arrows+x. But I don't know if chrome supports joystick controls. Maybe try steam big picture mode? I think it has a web browser in it.
