Australia did this already. I heard it was successful but I don't know much about it.

Does anyone have good sources about how it went for Australia and does it have a chance in Canada?

Yes, According to a recent article and insights from University of Ottawa law professor Michael Geist, who holds the Canada Research Chair in internet and e-commerce law, it becomes evident why Australia was successful in striking a deal with Facebook to retain news content.

We can already access the news just like we always could even before facebook and twitter existed.... I quit both of them over 6 years ago but never quit reading the news...
