Hmm. If this data also includes the private keys for the Reddit Vaults, then everyone who has Reddit NFT Avatars or Community Points is about to get their shit stolen....

But what does that data include?

The article doesn't say, but if I had to take a guess, it's either

  1. internal data from the company - exposing a few skeletons in the closet
  2. user data - showing that Reddit is unable to protect its own users.

Either should cause quite a bit of damage to Reddit, in addition to the protests.

80gb isn't really much data these days, so it's likely summarized or collated data of some kind like user profiles.
