they don't actually care about this country or its people at all. they'd rather let russian oligarchs be citizens and fuck shit up worse than it already has been than take care of the people who've made families and generations here.

Pulling billions of dollars out of the health care industry in order to stick it into... what even is this money going to go into? AI and Crypto? Treasury bonds? Untaxable oversees S&Ls?

Its painful to watch not only because of the obvious inherent cruelty, but because of the painful shortsightedness. Gutting the funding for hospitals and clinics in low-income areas won't benefit anyone materially. Hell, we've got a privatized health care system. It won't even benefit rich people, given how regularly they profiteer of Medicaid on the back end.

$880 billion in Medicaid cuts and $230 billion in cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

That's going to kill people, but Elon Musk'ϟ tax bill will go down.
