Tucked away in the basement of a still open mall. Originally a bomb shelter, the space was converted in to a retail space. In 2000 they sealed it off and it's sat dormant since.

At some point it was used as storage for Christmas decorations. Over the years they have moved throughout the space. Very eerie

That's what they did for The Last of Us. Most of the scenes were shot in a mall scheduled to be demolished.

So, so many questionable design choices. The lamppost raised 2ft off the ground, is that supposed to give us the impression of being on a neighborhood street? All the 90s tiling around it says otherwise.
