Let's see how long the Americans have energy for this. I'm positively surprised, thought it would take a lot longer to get to this point.

50501 Protest: “50 protests. 50 states. 1 movement.”. Get involved and watch the calendar of events to plan ahead. https://www.fiftyfifty.one

Can’t get to your state capitol? Don’t know how to protect yourself when you protest, or concerned about reprisal? Do the next best thing and call your representatives.

Download the app “5 calls” (on iOS, probably android too). It does everything you need it to: gives you the names of your reps, gives you a script to read, and has an embedded call button. It’s as simple as calling, reading the script, ending the call, and then clicking the next button in the app to move down the list. Makes life easy and stupid simple. You can even set reminders so 5 calls tells you it’s time to call your reps.

Resist, unlike our democratic leaders that resign their positions and allow the fascists to easily move in. Hope is not lost. Stop making excuses and don’t give in to despair. If you can’t join 50501, calling is the next best thing. And when their voicemails are full, blast them with emails and possibly snail mail (time & money).

Don't give me hope now, USA... 🇨🇦😢🇺🇸

Keep mobilizing, keep organizing, keep it up and slowly escalate the pressure. Stand up to Trump.

Not as "massive" as it should be

This wasn't the only place people protested. There were protests in every single state and many cities within each state

This also won't be the last protest. The first ones were on Feb 5th and weren't quite as large as they were on President's Day. They're growing. There's already chatter about plans for March 4th

Sure, but he's correct in the sense that "as massive as it should be" means "at least 12 million people, nationwide."

Why not March 10th?

Anyone here with experience in estimating crowd size? I count 33 - 38 across the street, would guess it's perhaps 2-3 as many along the street as across, making for somewhere around 2-4k people.
