Astronomers estimated that the asteroid is the size of a football field and noted that an asteroid of that size could equal the force of a nuclear bomb if it struck Earth.

Great unit of measurement, the football field. They are calling it a "city-killer". Nothing to worry about, just hiroshima levels of death and destruction. It will likely (70%) hit ocean if it hits us at all, but I think none of us like those odds.

Estimated impact risk corridor for the 2032 approach

How do they know? What an accurate prediction of such an unlikely event! So if it hits, they say it will be on the non-oceanic side of the planet, and near the equator.
