NFL is incorporated, non-profit. That's right, non-profit.

This was technically true but not in the way that people think.

The TL;DR is that each team is a for-profit entity that pays taxes based on their income while the NFL exists to handle some administrative duties but does not draw any income of its own. All of the money is taxed as teams' income.

And it hasn't been true since 2015 anyways.

more so this year with the security stuff I imagine. I mean more tax payer dollars spent around it.
