At least when I'm quiet there's a moderate chance of people thinking I'm interesting. Most of the women I've been involved with first noticed me because I was the quiet one in the group. Never had any luck at all being chatty.
That's why you default to a constant 120 Hz hum.
If you are in an environment that makes you talk many times, you'll learn to not talk awkwardly.
But I don't want to be there.
