That's actually no hypocrisy or projection. He beliefs in economy being a zero sum game (which no actual economist does btw) That's why in his opinion invasio is a good thing for the inveader and a bad thing for the one being invaded
They literally taught us about the benefits of specialization and trade in macroeconomics 100. I went to a second tier state school.
I suspect he's going to use this rhetoric as a loophole to restrict birthright citizenship (it excludes children of invaders). It's obviously BS but that doesn't matter if it aids him in helping to pass laws required to do so.
