  • Consider allowing the user to sloppy swipe away from QuickLook, rather than reaching for the button in the top-right.
  • For posts with links to somewhere other than the image, consider following through to the link (e.g. news article) rather than loading the image.
  • When the user has clicked into the post/comments page, consider enabling QuickLook from tapping the image in the post.

Thanks for continuing to work on such a solid Lemmy client! You guys rock 💙

What is actually „QuickLook“?

In the new beta, when a user taps the thumbnail of an image or link post, it opens in a media viewer entitled "quicklook".

QuickLook is the built in quick media viewer on most of Apple’s platforms. You can access it but selecting a file and pressing space bar on macOS or tapping on a file in files on iOS. Apps can also integrate QuickLook to view files. Essentially it’s just an easy way to show a file without having to do a lot of work

Sloppy swipe down is ready, you should be able to do that very soon :)

Oops, looks like you can load the QuickLook screen from the post page - not sure why it didn't work for a couple of the ones I tried!
