Ya know what? I'm really enjoying Lemmy. The Fediverse is (at present) smaller than Reddit but feels welcoming and at the same time much more "exclusive" (?). It's just that you have to make the effort to join the Fediverse.. ..and I'm not going back. I'm getting as much out of Lemmy as I was getting from RIF but it's somehow much more fun. Cya Reddit it was fun but it's over.

Perhaps the fact that it’s just a bit harder to join will help minimize low effort spammers and trolls.

Yea it's WAY better. Lol. It's like money in politics. Money in human interaction? Nah. It's just a bonus that you have to be somewhat competent to navigate it, which ends up in better engagement for us. Makes sense.

Me too, lemmy and kbin is what Iβ€˜m using and both are nice.

The community here is so small that I’ve been pushing myself to comment more than I ever have on Reddit. There I only commented when I had something I felt important to add, here Iβ€˜m just writing whatever comes to mind. I hope that could help it grow in a way.

Itβ€˜s also been fun exploring more of the fediverse, I found this website for that: fediverse.party and the party is BIG!

I'm on the same boat as you on trying to comment more here to populate the community.
