NGL didnt expect Punk to look so good in the ring.
Punk and Joe, almost 20 years later!! The main event went almost the entire last half hour but was fantastically paced! Can't wait to see what's next for Punk
Love the stage, love the whole aesthetic, and Kevin Kelly is an absolute gem
Looks like Raw before the big walls.
Will take a while though to get used to them, I feel like they should at least add one of the regular commentators to the mix.
CM Punk in tights will never not look weird to me. Idk maybe it's the kind of tights he wears.
Same for Cesaro btw. I much prefered him in trunks.
Punk yea. It's just weird. Claudio though. He used to wear tights in Chikara so it's not that weird looking.
Fantastic episode. Skye Blue had a great week. Miro returning makes AEW so much better. Andrade vs Buddy was a fantastic match. Everything delivered, except the Wardlow finish, but that was an excellent episode of AEW programming. This is their summer if Forbidden Door blows everybody's minds.
Punk is really doubling down it seems lol.
Crowd seems to love him like ever it seems.
Yeah it's gonna be funny when he doesn't have home field advantage.
I really don't know why Tony Khan does this. Is here really THAT much of a Punk stan, or does Punk really bring that much money?
From all we gathered so far there is no way Punk is not wrong about what he did. There might be valid reasons why he was pissed, but everything that happened after his last AEW match was completely out of line.
He does bring a lot of money. I think he's still around because this might be a case of perception isn't reality. Punk might rub a lot of people wrong, but if he's still in the building it must not be that bad to those behind the scenes. There has to be some level of cordiality if people want him back. Just because he's putting on a bravado for us the fans, doesn't mean it's the same back stage. There's a level of communication that was crossed but there's also a level of communication that saved the relationship. So just enjoy the ride is my take.

I really dislike the canadian destroyer, it's such an obviously fake looking move, but tbf, Skye Blues version of it is the best I've seen so far. Looks like a mix of a hurricane rana and a canadian destroyer.
It's a parkour flip into a sunset flip. She does it well.
Punk vs White feud had the potential to be amazing.
So glad they pulled the trigger on Christian--uh, I mean Luchasaurus

I mean this was exactly the expected finish to the match, but the match itself was fire.
Maybe they should have broken up the submission a bit quicker to make it look more believable that Punk wasn't passed out by that time, but other than that I am really satisfied with this match!
Great first episode!
The setup for the struggle was great. It wasn't your predictable hold everybody back. They actually had to work to hold everybody back and the visual of FTR struggling to get into the ring was way better than BCG just circling Joe to ward off FTR. Overall it was a great first episode. #AEW has been on fire this week. This is their summer if Forbidden Door blows the roof off the building.

Was live at the show, crowd was eating out of the palm of CM Punk's hand. It's pretty blatantly obvious that this is a work at this stage, and the crowd was having a blast playing into it. Will be fun seeing CM Punk be the "real world champion" as he slowly goes deranged heel.
That's at least $2000 just busted over Wardlow's head. What a shame.

What do you think about the show so far? I guess it shows that AEW with its big roster desperately needed another big show. It's going to be interesting to see how they will distribute the championships though.
It's good so far. I think Collision is I wanted Rampage to be. It's got the star power. It's got the look. The only miss so far was the Wardlow/Luchasaurus match but I can take a bad result if the match itself is good. I'm really digging it.
I agree on the Wardlow/Luchasaurus match. They keep hurting Wardlow and the TNT title with this.
Great match. And Andrade can now say I beat you with my wife's move.
Jeez, the TNT championship continues to be an absolute joke. Wardlow after splitting from MJF has become completely uninteresting imo.
