Does it have to be filtered before you put it into carts? It looks so much darker than what I'm used to seeing in carts.

I’ve not seen that mentioned on any things I’ve read.
The few live rosin carts I’ve bought have a darker colour than I usually see, but mines also been just stored on a shelf for the last few months, shoulda been in the freezer. That picture of the rosin was from when I made it, I stupidly didn’t take a picture before starting yesterday. But it was pretty brown already when I started.
It’s also probably got some contaminants, it’s the first time I’ve done any of this past bubble hash! But from my understanding, it’s been through a 25 micron screen during rosin pressing. You’re not gonna filter it much more, but improper pressing can introduce unwanted matter as well, so yeah.
Interesting! I've always been fascinated with how far production has come from spindly brown nugs full of seeds to what we have available today with it legal in so many places.
I don't know a whole lot about the processes, so please take my question with a grain of salt. I'm only familiar with products as an end user buying stuff from the dispensaries (and previously from that one guy who insists you stay and watch a movie when you're just trying to buy an eighth).
