I don't want to be a Debbie Downer here, but the reality is humanity isn't up to the task of addressing climate change. We aren't going to address this issue in time, if at all. There are too many dumb humans to make the political change possible to effectively address this issue before it's too late, if it isn't already.

Failure is indeed possible, though it does look like activism moved the estimates of how hot it's likely to end up by 2100
After the last few years in particular, I'm at peace with giving the corvids and raccoons their chance. We should probably go extinct, for the good of the planet. I just hope it isn't too painful.
I agree. All we can do now is carve what wisdom we have into rocks for the next apex species. I hope they fare better.

For the good of the universe. Humanity is a cancer. We'd spread to other parts of our galaxy and consume the planets there as well. Guaranteed to go to war with any other sentient beings we come across. It's our nature. Hell, it might be the nature of all sentient beings.

It'll probably be slow, with a generally declining quality of life for a long, long time. I almost just want the nukes to drop so it happens fast.
I agree we're fucked. But we can't teach the younger generations how to survive in the future wastelands if we don't even acknowledge that humanity is ending.
