This is the first time in the Premier League that a referee has rejected a red-card review at the monitor. And so the first a red-card review has resulted in a yellow card.

Once at the monitor, the ref has full control.

It's the first monitor rejection of any kind this season

Yeah, I haven't seen the replays and can't say whether it was deserved or not, but I know it was the Brooks card in the Chelsea game.

Was that the one where he chopped Cucurella's head? Was watching the Liverpool game at the bar so didn't pay much attention the outcome of it.
