Maybe to give a slightly different answer than the usual suspects, but Jura is absolutely lovely even if it's lower altitude stuff, otherwise Savoie fur the high stuff on the French side.

Scotland's mountains aren't very big, but that's okay because I'm not very good at climbing them. Ben Lawers is probably my favourite one I've done. The approach up and over the neighbouring Beinn Ghlas is gorgeous the entire way and it has a really fun reveal, because you can#'t see Ben Lawers until you get to the top of Beinn Ghlas.
I suspect that if I had had more time to go up the Cuillins on Skye or some of the other peaks on the west coast nearby, one of them would maybe take the top spot. As it is I live on the other side of the country, and there's still a lot of great stuff here

Triglav, Slovenia, and the whole julijske alpe massif - such sheer dolomitic rock cliffs, glowing pink in the dawn light, combined with a friendly culture in the mountain huts around, amid strings of high lakes.
