The more you buy the more you save LMAO

Caveat: it's wccftech, there's a non trivial chance they just pulled this story out of their arse.

Edit: thx @[email protected] for the verification. You da MVP

It was also published by The Information, which has more of a solid reporting history. Their reporting was followed up by Reuters, so I'm gonna put this in a "likely" category.

I can see why someone wouldn't post a link to the article from The Information since it's paywalled.

Just use AI to fix them. 😂

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

I bet more in-office days will fix it right?

Chase that dragon, NVIDIA!

[–] Dogiedog64 11 points 2 days ago

Lmao who could've seen THAT coming?

I consider this rather foreboding for their SFF 5090 release. If anyone is getting one, seriously reconsider getting one from another manufacturer, the guy in charge of overheating concerns got thrown out the window.

People stick x90 cards into SFF cases? Seems almost counterproductive.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago

I have a 4090 in a sff I don't have any heat issues it runs cooler than my 2080 did

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

The 4090 FE was doable in larger systems. ~~But I really doubt a 5090 would fit in anything considered SFF. Even stretching the definition to the max.~~

Apparently the 5090 is the same length as the 4090, but only two slots. Maybe it's taller but it's hard to tell. That siad cooling the rest of your system will be much more of an issue with almost 600 watts getting blown around in there.

Yeah this isn’t happening.

Oh no. Just yesterday I've seen an article about Blackwell PCs and what not.

You're telling me it's not ready?

That they lied to me?

How could that happen?

Oh no God no!

[–] SouthFresh 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Anyone who remembers the release of the 4000 series would have expected this. Upon release multiple releases were frying.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago

That was because of the connector and not because of over heating.

[–] wioum 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Blackwell blackwalled themselves?
