Overnight backcountry backpacking/hiking in the spirit of taking less and doing more. Ask yourself: do I really need that?

John Z is one of the more interesting personalities in the UL and long-distance communities that I've been able to find. Here he manages to set the Colorado Trail unsupported FKT and create an entertaining video at the same time.

I would never do this lol but John's videos are always inspiring. Anyone else love the Colorado Trail and dream about going back?

Thanks for posting. I just spent quite a while watching his other videos. Definitely going to be getting some more hikes in. I miss walking.

I miss walking too. What was your last good walk?

Last multi-day walk was about a year ago which is too long. Myself and a friend walked what was traditionally a religious walk in the West of Ireland. We're planning on something in the next month which is nice. It's so good for the head to just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

What about yourself?

Last year I walked across New Mexico on the CDT. The weather was unseasonably wet. I don't think I would do it again, but there's other stuff in NM that looks fun. I really like walking and there is nothing quite like the fluidity, spontaneity and simplicity of a walking trip.

Yes indeed, fellow walker :)
