So I found a box (Gaw?) when I used it an arconaut popped out that seems to follow me around. Will my corrosive gas mutation damage or aggro him?

It shouldn't aggro but as far as I know it will damage those not wearing filtered face gear. I dont think it will ruin your followers and make them hate you but it will kill them.
